Tatum's Arrival

So I am about a year late and 4 months short of starting a blog about my little Princess but better late than never i suppose. Miss Tatum was born October 17, 2012 at 8:32 PM. I went in on the morning of October 17th  to be induced and hoping to have her the all natural way, things of course did not go as planned. It was about 3:00 PM and I was fully experiencing contractions, they were hard and long. I received an epidural since my nurse informed me there was a chance I would be in pain until the next day depending on my dilation and the baby of course :) Around 7:00 PM my doctor came in and broke my water. It was then Tatum's heart rate starting dropping and she herself had never dropped into the birth canal. I was constantly being tossed and turned to relieve the pressure off of her. I was rushed to the operating room along with my boyfriend and it was then I received a Cesarean. Probably one of the weirdest experiences EVER! It is a very odd feeling knowing you are awake but have no feeling at all and there are people just cutting into your body to get your baby out. Tatum finally arrived at 8:32 PM and as soon as I heard her cry tears ran down my face. They let us see her before I went into recovery and she was SO beautiful <3 We spent the next 4 days in the hospital not being able to believe we were so lucky to be parents to such a beautiful little girl. She was healthy and perfect.
